London Neurodiversity Network is an organisation founded by The Courtyard School, with the aim of increasing neurodiversity awareness and creating more opportunities for neurodiverse students in the school and in the wider community.

The Courtyard School has achieved 100% success across the eight Gatsby Benchmarks of Good Career Guidance, and has helped hundreds of students to develop their employability skills, communication, independence and self- esteem to be ready for their next step in life.

LNN Leadership

Deborah Shepherd

Deborah is the Headteacher of the Courtyard School in Islington. She is driven to improve the outcomes of neurodivergent young people, actively supporting them to develop the skills necessary to succeed in the world of work.  Deborah is dedicated to working with employers to remove any barriers that may exist when it comes to employing talented, passionate and committed individuals who just happen to be neurodiverse.

Elena Vidal

Elena's journey began with a transformative experience supporting a child on the Autism Spectrum during her Master's degree program. Inspired, she pursued a career in Special Education, eventually becoming the Head of Careers and Outreach at The Courtyard School. Through her leadership, Elena has achieved a 100% success rate in guiding students through career exploration and securing meaningful work experiences.

Billy Chandler

Billy has been an integral part of The Courtyard since its establishment in 2013, being among the first sixth formers to join the school. His exemplary conduct set a high standard for his peers. After completing his studies, Billy gained qualifications in Digital & Marketing and Business Administration. Billy balances multiple roles, including a contract position at the Royal Museums Greenwich and a part-time role as an SEN Teaching Assistant at The Courtyard.

LNN Advisors

Eliot Brooks

Eliot is the chair of governors at the Courtyard school and the CEO of a climate technology company. He's passionate about the incredible work the Courtyard and LNN does to help shape the lives of neurodivergent young people.

Tom Jupp

Tom Jupp worked as Chief Inspector for Camden Education Service and as principal of City and Islington College. He is passionate about issues of equality. He has wide experience as a trustee including the Anne Frank Trust  and chairing Islington Giving and Central London Connexions.

Marc Crawley

Marc is the Founder / Director of Diversita and has worked in recruitment since 2005 Marc has a passion for neurodiversity awareness and every day strives to create job opportunities for ND job seekers. Marc is the self appointed geekiest person in Kent, he also has an unhealthy obsession with his Peloton but biggest passion by far are his family and in particular his 2 sons.
